Data & reporting solutions

You name the report. We put it in one governed model.

We connect the systems and Excel workbooks behind management, sustainability, forecasting and operational reporting. Every number is validated at source, signed off and reused in the next report. No one has to double-check the numbers before deciding.

Running at Anglo American, ARM, Valterra Platinum, De Beers and Tharisa.

The model underneath the work.

Capstone is the shared model for reporting, modelling and operations data.

  1. Connect the sources

Financial systems, operational databases, APIs and controlled workbooks.

  2. Govern the numbers

Ownership, validation, calculations, evidence, sign-off and period locks.

  3. Reuse the model

The first report is published. The next one starts from the same signed-off data.

From capture and integration through to reports and models.

  • Sustainability and ESG reporting

One governed ESG model for the whole group. Metrics are captured at each operation, validated, calculated and signed off before they reach the report.

Emissions, energy, water, safety and social metrics. Framework-ready outputs. Evidence attached to every data point.

    At Anglo American and ARM.

  • Metal accounting

A governed metal balance. Measurements, assays, movements and adjustments carried through calculation rules and approvals into a balance an auditor can trace.

Mass and assay inputs, adjustment workflows, period locks, month-end balance across plant and inventory.

At Pilanesberg Platinum Mines and Tharisa

  • Mining operations management

The whole mine on one data platform. Plan, drill, blast, load, haul, process and dispatch, with every discipline feeding the numbers leaders manage from.

Short-interval control, equipment and contractor performance, mine-plan-to-port reporting.

At Pilanesberg Platinum Mines and Exxaro Belfast.

  • Processing and control-room capture

Plant data captured at source. Historians, SCADA and operator inputs land in one governed stream that serves the control room and month-end alike.

Historian and SCADA integration, digital operator logsheets, shift and daily production reporting.

At Pilanesberg Platinum Mines and Tharisa.

  • Financial modelling and forecasting

Driver-based budgets, forecasts and scenario models built on the same governed actuals as monthly reporting.

Versioned assumptions, scenario comparison, actuals against forecast without another reconciliation.

    At Edcon, Twinsaver and Halsted.

  • Mobile checklist capture

An offline-first mobile app for the field. Checklists, inspections and leadership observations captured where the work happens and synced in seconds.

Configurable checklists, photo evidence, live dashboards and leaderboards. Works underground and off-network.

At Anglo American, De Beers and Valterra Platinum.

  • Applied AI and data science

Purpose-built models inside the workflow. Classification, prediction and pattern detection, with the audit trail to run in production.

Document and photo processing, fraud and risk scoring, incident and failure prediction.

At Anglo American, Kumba, Hollard and Prime Meridian Direct.

Start with one report. Build an asset the next report can reuse.

  1. 01

    Bring the report

Start with the report, workbook or process that consumes the most time or creates the most disagreement.

  2. 02

    Map the sources and rules

Identify where every number comes from, who owns it, how it is calculated, and who signs it off.

  3. 03

    Build and validate the model

Connect the sources, configure the controls, and run the result alongside the current process until the numbers agree.

  4. 04

    Put the report into operation

Run the report with the client’s team and keep the audit trail.

Your source systems stay in place. Excel can remain an approved input where it is still the right tool. The model and reporting logic remain visible to your team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we have to replace our existing systems?

No. Capstone connects the finance, operational and reporting sources already in use. NxGN replaces the manual reconciliation around them, not necessarily the systems.

Can Excel remain part of the process?

Yes. Controlled workbooks can remain inputs where appropriate, validated, owned, and included in the audit trail.

How long does the first reporting solution take?

It depends on the report, the sources, the calculation complexity and the sign-off process. NxGN starts with one defined report so the first outcome is bounded and measurable.

How can an auditor or reviewer trace a number?

Each reported value retains its source, ownership, validations, calculation path, evidence, approval status and reporting-period state.

Does NxGN only work in mining?

No. Most current public proof comes from mining, but the underlying problem, reconciling information across systems and workbooks, is not industry-specific.

Where does AI fit?

AI can query or explain information in the governed model. It does not replace source validation, calculation logic, sign-off or the audit trail. Separate applied-AI models can also run inside production workflows.

The real product is a number nobody questions in the meeting.

Bring us the report that takes a week.

You name the report. We'll sit with you for twenty minutes and map where its numbers come from, how they get reconciled, and who signs them off. Then we'll tell you straight whether it's a fit for Capstone. If it isn't, we'll say so.
